Thanks for the pattern!  Here's mine.

I kind of free-handed the frosting since I couldn't see the stitches with the squiggly yarn.

For anyone else learning the post double crochets, the movies on stitchguide are hugely helpful.

So CUTE!!  Great for little girls, or big girls too!  They could be the new charm bracelet!  It would be fun to see one that opened so you could put a few things in it.

my sister in law's b-day is tomorrow, and i think i should be able to crochet up a set of 6 for her, as a little funky side present... these are great, and they are very quick!

Those are amazing! I'll definitely have to do up some just in case I forget someone's birthday.

Lovely.

FYI, here are the 2 different patterns side by side.  The little one is foufigirl's pattern, and the big one is the pincushion.  The frosting yarn was a bit hard to see the stitches, so it's not exactly from the pattern.

***Cupcake:***
Use hook size H
Using Brown(Chocolate cake!) yarn,
Ch 4, join with a sl st to the first chain, chain 3 to count as first dc.
Dc 14 times in ring, slst to top of first dc to join, chain 3.
Bpdc around each post of each dc(14), slst to top of first bpdc to join, chain 3.
Fpdc around each  post of each bpdc(14), slst to top of first fpdc to join, bind off.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ok I am only a basic crocheter (is that a word?).  I just learned the BPdc and FPdc so that I could make these, but I'm having a slight problem.

I don't understand "slst to top of first dc to join".  Can anyone explain it better?  Do I slst back to the center or do I slst to the next stitch???

And if I'm suppose to slst back to the center, how am I suppose to the the BPdc from there?

These are really cute and I really want to make them.  I've tried several times using several different websites to try and explain it, but I keep getting stuck.  Someone please help.

If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all!
