thank you!

i realized i haven't posted new atcs in ages!

this is a really simple one i made to toss in with a swap package -

eyeball scrapbook paper background, and then halloween rub ons applied to lime green paper. after the rub ons were attached, i inked the strip, so the only green you can see is in the clear part of the rub on. just fun and easy.

these ones were all made for the halloween atc swap-

i used the scrap strip method tutorial to create the patchwork base, which i quilted onto cotton batting with a plain backing fabric. after the whole strip was quilted, i cut it into atc sized pieces and zigzagged the edges.

i stamped a bunch of halloween stamps onto white and orange paper, cut them out, and machine stitched them on, adding halloween ribbon to them as well. then i printed out backings on cardstock, and machine stitched them on.

my scanner greatly dislikes orange, this picture of them all together shows the colours much better.

i also made postcards for the halloween postcard swap with the same materials, didn't quite have enough that i liked for the atc swap after i cut out the postcards, so i made a few paper based ones for the swap as well -

and this one for me, because i adore the rub on! very simple, just the black burlap paper that i can't get enough of, the rub on, black pigment ink around the edges of the white, and several little vinyl bat stickers.

and i don't think i ever posted the Y and Z angel cards i made either....

y is for yellow

several different shades of yellow, includes a yellow paper doily coaster, a yellow brad, yellow star grommets, yellow burlap paper, yellow recycled japanese paper and yellow dylon tape.

z is for zebra print z's

i printed out a sheet of zzzzzzz's, then had it photocopied in reverse. i very carefully cut out a stencil of zebra print and traced it onto the back of the copy. i cut it out and glued it onto the non-reversed print. i really liked how it looked, but it seemed a little blah, so i added the z written on red and the little zebra, both attached with black brads. the zebra is actually an image from vintage children's wallpaper that i scanned out of a book!

other than those, which were done quite a while ago, i haven't been doing many atcs. i've been working on pages for th tip in swap whenever i get the paper urge, though i'm also pretty tempted to try inchies!

i have been sorely neglecting the atcs in favour of tip in and chunky pages, Cry but here are the atcs i made for the fabric atc swap round 3.

the stylized peacock feather

the russian nesting doll (her eye was a little wonky, unfortunately! both the face and te designs were stamped with staZon ink)

the kitschy toaster

kitschy kewpie dolls (the background is vintage as well!)

the framed crow (the frame was stamped with staZon ink, i love that stuff!)

and the anchor

oops! i forgot to post my ABC atcs! the last of my DEF cards were received yesterday, so i'm posting them as well!

A is for aerial acrobatics, arabic, and apple green.

the colours are nick bantock stamp pads from ranger - cerulean azure and chartreuse leaf (though i think it looks like apple green as well!). i LOVE the colours of these stamp pads! i used makeup sponges to smear it over the paper before i cut the pieces out. apparently i glued the arabic writing on upside down, which seriously irritates me!

B is for burlesque (and apparently also boobies! Wink)

stamps are from joanns, stamped with staZon ink, which i'm obsessed with, because the colour depth is so awesome!

C is for clocks

stamps were the "Time Flies" set from invokearts.com. hand writing "tick tock" took MUCH longer than i'd anticipated!

D is for day of the dead

pattern from from sublime stitching, though smaller to be atc size

E is for embroidery

i LOOOOVE this card. honestly, if i had time, i'd make something else to send and keep it! i used so many diferent stitches - chevron stitch, double herringbone stitch, raised fishbone, crossed blanket stitch, mille fleur, chain stitch, open chain/ladder stitch, lazy daisy stitch, couching, french knots, pekinese stitch, fern stitch, running stitch, satin stitch and ramble rose stitch. 15 stitches! the E is copied from a dover book of decorative initials that i borrowed from my sister.

F is for fox

the image is from an old kid's colouring book, i found it on the doe-c-doe blog two days before sends outs! i kinda wish i hadn't made the chest a diferent colour, but oh well, i don't have time to redo it. i still like it though. it photographed wierd - the cotton looks wavy, but it's not at all. odd.
