I have a wheel that is not too travel friendly. It doesn't fold, although it is light to carry. I need some way to cover it and bring it with me to guild meetings. I thought of sewing up a bag. But the next morning I saw this in a catalogue.

It will literally fit my wheel, fiber, and other stuff I lug around. All in one bag. On wheels!

What do you think? (Price is not a problem.) I just wanted to bounce this idea off you guys and see what you think. I'm afraid that I'm so happy to find something that I'm not seeing the whole picture.

Wow, I think that's a really good idea, and so cheap!!  I've seen wheel bags and they are quite expensive.  The only thing I would worry about is a lack of padding.

Sounds like a grand idea.. and not very expensive at all.. Now I'm curious.. what wheel do you own?? I have a Fricke DT. it doesn't fold either.. and it's not heavy, just awkward.

Yeah, I thought of the padding issue too.  Undecided

LadyBean32, I have a Fricke ST. Awkward is a great way to describe it. There's a handle, which is too small and in a bad spot. It should be lower down on the shaft, so when you pick it up the treadle doesn't swing all around...right?

Anyone else?

(Thanks guys!)

Actually I wouldn't worry too much about the padding(or the lack thereof). If you were carrying it, then the risk of dropping it would necessitate padding, but since it'll be rolling... Now I'm soooo tempted to get one.. But right now I'll hold off, as I don't see myself going anywhere with my Dutchie any time soon..

Wow i think that would be a great idea myself. I love that bag. I have made a cotton cover to go over my wheels but this would be great for taking it places and keeping them covered. Not to expensive either.
