Hello all, this is my first post. THis is a photo album I made from old CD's. ITs really sturdy, my kids play with it all the time, and it turned out pretty good i think!

This is such a good idea! It looks very modern and funky. I like the little round labels attatched also. How did you make it?

It was really EASY to make!

TO make the hole, I just used a crank style hand drill (non electric), since this one I have tried and used my dremmel. That works really good. If you have one, just clip them together with a clamp and you can go through a bunch of them at once.

I covered each CD with cardstock and then cut around the edge. For adhesive I use a dry adhesive, like  scotch ATG, you can also use spray stuff.

The little tags are just those key clips you can get at the office supply for a few cents each. The whole think is bound together by a large key ring at the top!

This literally took me about 45 minutes to make my first time, and a lot less now that I got the hand of it. Oh, one note, when drilling the first time, I went through my table a lot. Just keep in mind that the cd drills REALLY easily!

wow your first post is sooooo much better than mine!

this is such a cool, original idea.  I am going to try it as soon as I can get my hands on a drill.

I'm curious why you used "dry" adhesive?

I used a dry adhesive somply becuase I am sloppy. YOu can use wet adhesive, just keep in mind that the CD itself is a little slippery. Perhaps a light sanding would help that?

actually, no, i didn't. That is a good idea, but I wanted to do a project that was REALLY quick. And this is one project where I like the scuffs and smudges, it really lends to the memories of this time in their lives.

Glad you like it!
