This is my first experience with alpaca, and I can't get enough of this gooey, luscious, dreamy fiber!  This was specifically intended for a project with a due date, so I was a bit hasty with the spinning- it came out really bulky.  This is about 2.3 oz of alpaca from Brooklyn General, and I spun it up on my Louet S17.

My roommate insisted that this picture was too boring, and she kidnapped it and dressed it up. I don't condone smoking, especially if you're a ball of yarn, and for future possible yarn-trading reference, there is no lighting up 'round the fiber!

oh man that second picture absolutely cracked me UP!!  love the chocolatey color though Smiley

There are two sides to a trumpeter's personality.  There is the one that lives only to lay waste to the woodwinds and strings, leaving them lying blue and lifeless along the swath of destruction that is the trumpeter's fury.  And then there's the dark side.

Love the pics!  I love Alpaca and have 6.5 pounds of Alpaca roving I'm just itching to spin up.  Only one problem.  I have to learn to spin first!! Shocked  I'm making progress, but I'm not touching that gorgeous Alpaca until I achieve some degree of competency.  Your little rebellious skein is inspiring.

I added that second picture to my favorites!  What a hoot, not to mention a great job spinning.   Grin
