I have discovered a love for making felted bags. The first picture if it works is of my first ever felted bag, completed last month. It looks blue but its actually a dark green.

This second bag is my messenger bag creation. I just need to find some material that I like to line the inside with and then it will be all done.

I am just about done with my third bag. It is cream with a brown loopy ruffle around the top. I just need to attach the wooden toggle and loop to close it and find some wooden handles that I like to go with it.

So far all of my bags are being made out of knitted sweaters that I bought second hand for about 75c and then unravelled. I am still learning the felting process so I didnt want to spend a bunch of money.

I love doing knitted toys as well. Actually I love doing all sorts of knitted and cross stitch things. I would love some feedback on how Im doing with my bags.

Thanks for looking

I love that messenger bag. You're clever for finding thrifting sweaters and unraveling them!

Those are very lovely!  Did you do test pieces to see how much they would shrink or did you just go for it?  Either way great job!!

I love your bags.  The first one is really cute...but the second one takes the cake...I don't think I've ever seen a felted messenger bag.  I would buy the second bag in a heartbeat!   Grin

I'm in love with the pink bag you made.  It's something I would use on a daily basis.

I can't wait to see you next bag!  Keep up the great work! Smiley

I made mine, with lots of glitter and shinies.

Wow. Both of those are so cute! But I really love the messenger bag. I'm in love with them in general, but that pink one is so adorable!
I would totally use that all the time!

That pink one is awesome.  The blanket stitching around the edges just finishes it off perfectly.

That pink messenger bag is awesome. Are you making these from your own patterns?

I love recycling yarn. How else can you get 1075 yards of silk/cashmere for $2.50?!
