Im a 38, Im an art and pottery teacher, and I live in the UK with my BF, 3 cats and a german shepherd dog. Im basically a hippy-gothy chick, my favourite colours are purple, black, and emerald green, although any strong colours are also cool especially rainbows (I dont like pastels and I cant wear yellows, or yellow based browns or oranges as they really dont suit me!) Also I'm not keen on floral fabrics, unless they're oriental or hippy, or if theyre appliqud onto something else Im really into appliqu at the moment! I love batiks, Indian fabrics and tie dyes. Favourite themes are cats, dragons, peacocks, Ohms, lotus flowers, nature, trees, anything Celtic, Art-Nouveau or Zetti, sci-fi and fantasy books and films.

I claim Samsara for some handknit socks.  This is my first claim.  I am in the US.

About me:
I am a 27-year-old, PhD student in Wisconsin (USA).  I've got a 16-month-old son, another baby on the way, two cats, and a super cute little old house.  I am allergic to oranges (technically, I am allergic to most citrus, but I can eat most everything in moderation except oranges).  I am vegetarian, so no leather or gelatin, please. (if something had to die for it, I don't want it)  Wool is OK, I go back and forth about silk (at the moment, I'm cheating and using silk fabric salvaged from old clothing).

Things I like (in no particular order): Monkeys (chimps), ants, robots, and crazy ocean creatures. Bayesian statistics.  Human anatomy.  Electron microscope images of stuff.  Evolution.  My son is named after Alan Turing.  Decision analysis.  Stars, space, rockets.  I like the creative commons and science commons.  Gardening.

In general, I prefer prints to solid colors.  I particularly like retro prints - I've included a number of fabrics that I like on my wist, but these are just examples.

My List! (I hope it is long enough)

A conference bag.  A professional looking bag to use at conferences, so subdued fabrics.  My ideal bag would have a divider in the center with one side that can hold those obnoxiously large binders they hand out (like school binders, probably 1.5 inches thick).  The other side would have my knitting.  Oooh, and an internal pocket for the hotel key/pens.  Shorter handles, as I won't be carrying it on my shoulder.

A gym bag.  I cannot imagine being pregnant without swimming.  Big enough for a towel, swimsuit, shampoo, and a clean shirt.

A diaper bag.  We used to have two bags, then I lost one.  Help me with a new one before I lose the one I have left!  I'm not picky - anything from cute and kidish to sophisticated would be fine with me - as long as it is big enough for diaper supplies and some toys.

Clip-on earrings and/or necklace reconstruction from a freshwater pearl necklace I already own.  I recieved this necklace as a gift while living in China, so I am sentimentally attached to it.  I have, however, a nicer string of pearls, so I never wear the gift.  I would be thrilled if someone would use some of the pearls in a different necklace design and/or some clip on earrings.  I'd be happy to donate the left over pearls to that person.

Fun cloths for my son.  Fun t-shirts for the summer.  Or if you really want to rock my world, a sailor shirt or a cute vest!

A book of knitting lace patterns or history of knitting type stuff.

I'm just getting into embroidery - I'd love some vintage iron-on patterns.

One of those hanging things for circular knitting needles.

A wrap dress with short sleeves.  I would like some in printed fabrics, of course, but I'd also really like a black one.

A shirt for my partner, as he needs some craftster love, too.  And some shirts.  His primary interests include robots, helicopters (radio control), space/vastness of the universe, being vegetarian, and the first amendment.

A serving tray - This is a gift for a friend who just bought a condo with a dining room that is separate from the kitchen.  Painted or tiled would be awesome.  She is a chemist who likes to go to the goth club and to rennisance fairs.  She really likes fairies.

Notecards to include in packages - I'm nearly out!

Also, I'm going to be needing small or medium sized summer maternity cloths if you have some that are looking for a home.

Thanks in advance to whoever picks me!  I love this swap!

I claim sneeg for vintage embroidery patterns and notecards. This is my third claim, with zero sent and zero received.

Hi there. I'm a thirtysomething writer/editor who lives in Los Angeles with my husband and two cats, but my heart truly resides in Texas. My favorite holidays are Valentine's Day, Day of the Dead and the two weeks before Christmas when everyone has the holiday spirit. I drive a cake batter yellow VW bug, but my second vehicle is a pink scooter. My interests include TV, food and chick lit (not always in that order). My favorite era is that gray one between Mod and Glam (think Andy Warhol/The Factory/Velvet Undergound), followed by the 1920s. If I have one regret it's that I don't have the bone structure to wear my hair super short like Mia Farrow's in "Rosemary's Baby." I'm currently into chocolate brown and those colors that go with it -- turquoise, pink -- but I also have a weakness for poppy Gerber daisy colors like pink and orange with a bit of burgundy thrown in. I try to stop eating three hours before bed. I don't always succeed. I prefer silver to gold, gloss to matte, cashmere to silk, heels to flats, red wine to white (champagne to both), pears to apples.

Things my little heart desires (Please excuse how long my list is. I like to have a little something of everything so I won't hold up the proceedings):

Definitely check out my wists, it's going strong: http://www.wists.com/GatsbyGirl

Nancy Drew book clutch purse

Long-sleeved t-shirt with applique and/or embroidery (size Medium)

Funky, crafty wrap skirt (I'm a 6, but I guess with a wrap skirt it doesn't matter)

Fused glass: pendant, plate, bowl, tray, whatever (I love me some fused glass)

A small mosaic bowl

An "I Spend Too Much Time at the Office" care package -- Help me make my office a more enjoyable place. Decorative magnets, thumbtacks, microwavable soup, hot chocolate, crafty mug, fun piece of art for the wall, you get the idea. PM if you want to know exactly what it is that I do.

I really want to learn crochet. Anyone want to put together a "how-to" kit to help me out?

You know those crochet hooks with polymer clay covered handles? Yeah, I'd like some hair sticks like that.

Decorated binders with clear plastic sleeves to store my sewing patterns

A knit corset tee -- http://www.diynetwork.com/diy/na_knitting/article/0,2025,DIY_14141_4920958,00.html (I don't crochet or knit, so I have no idea how complicated this is, so if you're laughing now and going "In her dreams" I completely understand)

Vintage (40s to the 70s, with an emphasis on the 50s and 60s) Craft kits. For some reason, I love those self-contained, "Here's the instructions. Here's the supplies. Go crazy." deals, especially older ones. Extra especially if sequins are involved.

Handmade soap (bars please; it's for the shower), scrubs, bath bombs. All scents are good, except for lavender.

Geegaws and Supplies:
   Wire cookie cutters
   Paper Dolls
   Girl/Romance/Fashion Comics
Fabric -- big pieces, small pieces, fat quarters, fat eighths, scraps -- Mod prints, anything in pinks and browns (seperately, or together), flocked (or just looks like flocked wallpaper), patterned oil cloth, fun toile (as opposed to little old lady toile), sock monkey, Michael Miller, Alexander Henry ... oh, who am I kidding? ... anything you don't want/need.
Tile beads (you know the ones: look like dominoes, but have a hole drilled through it, ready to be made into a pendant/charm)
   Rayon embroidery floss
   Super cool buttons
   Iron-on appliques/patches
Trim -- Rick Rack, Pom Poms, Bias tape, Zippers, Ribbons, bring it on
Art books (anything with good decoupageable images)
   Japanese felt mascots/minatures/food craft books/magazines

And I always have a weakness for candies of the tart variety: Sweetarts, Pixie Stix, Nerds, Sour Patch anything

Oh, and I know no one will make me this, but while rewatching "Goblet of Fire" I went, "I want one of those," about the hats the girls of Beauxbatons Academy wear. I assume you could do it out of felt, but have no idea where to begin: http://www.comingsoon.net/cgi-bin/imageFolio.cgi?action=view&link=Fantasy/Harry_Potter/Harry_Potter_and_the_Goblet_of_Fire&image=gobletoffire78.jpg&img=9&tt=

Thanks y'all!

Oooo, some socks! Thank you Sneeg!  Grin

Well, if I'm claiming one person for a Japanese craft book, why not two? So I claim GatsbyGirl! This is my second claim, zero sent, zero received.
I didn't write much about myself last time, so here goes: I'm 26, living in Korea, where I'm an English teacher. I'm from California, and I've lived the last 5 years in Sweden, before I moved to Korea. I love reading, jellyfish, crocheting, sewing, quilting, traveling, photography and cooking. I want to be a surgeon someday. I like colorful stuff, except if it's to wear. My favorite colors are blues and reds and pinks, but I like all colors, as long as they're not too bright & gaudy. I tend towards darker but still bright colors, I guess. I like modern design, not too clunky and overdone more simple. Nothing cutsey, really. But I'll appreciate anything handmade, I promise! I love seeing what other people make!
My wishlist:
Jewelry- I like funky jewelry, nothing too big, but a bit chunky and unusual, or silver and pearls stuff. Not too multicolored, because then I can't think of what to wear it with!
Yarn- cotton or wool, no novelty yarn or wacky neon colors, please! I would love some handspun yarn!
Cloth pads
A messenger bag
A padded sleave for my computer
Art to hang on my wall, especially paintings
a DIY lino cutting kit
(I stole this idea from Samsara!)
wool roving for felting
A purse
- medium sized. With a strap long enough to go over my shoulder
Uh... that's all I can come up with!

I am going to claim Tanza for fabric markers similar to ones on her wists.  Maybe even a package of actual sharpies too in an assortment of colors...

this is my first claim - I am sending her a personal swap package so it won't be that much more to send along more loot!  Once you go over a pound or two (which I have) the rest is just minimal...

Sooo. list in a sec. Need to do a quick retrieve..

DIY kits!
I love love love the idea of diy kits!
Here are a few ideas.. If you rock at something else, I might be interested as well!
How to....
make those Bubbatink wallets
silk screen tshirts
paper making  - I can get a used blender or whatever.
how to make resin molds
how to make clay buttons
how to make a bowling ball yard art thing - I have a bowling ball already (yeah Freecycle!)

***sewing stuff -I love my sewing machine.
*fabric - things with feel appeal - like courds and whatnot! - or prints that are just screaming "me" for one reason or another - nothing too girly
*snaps for a snap setter - fun ones I don't see many that aren't boring
***Crochet Stitch dictionaries/guides- I have 5 right now but really would love more! Second hand is good for those!

Crafted things:
***weekend bags for the boys - the ones they have that a great Craftster sent me are getting too small now that their clothes are getting bigger since they are growing!  I have the one that is like a pillowcase with straps that cinch it up - their clothes barely fit in there when they go to grandma's!
***some kind of sewing notions in transit organization for when I go to my sew til you go group - with spots for 2 pairs of big scissors, embroidery scissors thread, bobbins, seam ripper, etc.  I need organization. Right now I just toss them all in a bag and then spend oodles of time digging later!  I am thinking of some kind of fabric thing with pockets or something?  I don't know.  I do have a folding thing for doing hand sewing but it is not capable of the big stuff.
***a Fabric cover for my art cart - pm me for pics if you like - it is similar to this one...
however I didn't pay $240 for that - I got it at a second hand store for less than $20!  It has my embroidery machine on top.  I would like it to be able to be wiped down somehow on the top just so I can easily remove the thread snippets!
I would like to be able access the shelves under it since that is where I am keeping my threads and whatnot!  Something cool to jazz up the craft room.
***Two fabric stuffed dragons - snuggly size for my kids - not beanie baby.  I love Simplicity 4063.  Not fleece or felt - the dog eats those materials!
There is another one - even better in my wists!
I will personal trade for a second  - or claim me twice!  You know I will be claiming again eventually!  I can always hold back one until I get another - jealous boys are issues here!
***a washablefuton cover for my queen sized futon - like that will ever happen, right? That is a biiiig wish!  You never know though.  It is just soooo ugly right now!  Just big and green.
***dog beds - but big 10 pound cat bed style - he likes to be in an oval nest!
***Feel like massive knitting?  I loooove this cape!  I would love a cape!  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=147304.10
I just can't have wool. cotton or a nice acryllic is aokay
***wood cutouts for outdoor use of gnomes - I am going to woodburn(so not pressure treated) the gnome features - all sizes from 6" to 12" would be cool.

***music - I like industrial, alternative no metal or noise.  pm me or stalk me. I am stuck in the 90's!   maybe if you have a used cd store nearby?  I really don't need a cd wallet though. got oodles of those.

If you want to know lots about me check out my cheesy for Craftster website.  The wish list there needs to be updated though so if there is something there you want to make for me, pm me first to make sure I haven't already gotten it!

I claim xladyluckx for some crocheted skully pot holders.  Finally, I shall make something from the Happy Hooker book!  It's been sitting here staring at me for like two weeks now.  This is my first claim this round.  I'm in South Carolina.  My list:

-Archie comics in languages other than English

-amigurumi patterns, any language

-a decorated CD case for all my language CDs

-a how-to-spin kit

-a needle felting kit!!!  please?

-an amigurumi or plushie inspired by Archie Comics

-a girly pink decorated collar for my dog.  Her collar size is about 17.5 in.  Yes, she has a giant neck.

-Drawstring flannel (or other soft fabric) PJ pants for me (Pm for sizing)

-a large remote cozy to put over the arm of the couch so all these boys will stop losing the stinking remotes!  Needs to have spaces for at least 2 large remotes, 1 small remote, and 1 wiimote.  Wink

-Handspun yarn, weird yarn, recyled sari yarn.  I'm freaking DROWNING in yarn,  but that doesn't really stop the urge to get more.   I just want some yarn that makes me go, WOW!  They don't have this at AC Moore!!

-a large study wallet with lots of pockets.  No change holder required.  Unless you want to make a matching change purse Wink

-Stenciled/Decorated T-shirt with Archie Comics images (I would especially like Jughead or Dilton, but any characters would be awesome) (size womens L-XL)

-Cute headbands or bobby pins (No plastic headbands, please)

-a dog bed for my Dizzee (big wish)

-a cosmetics bag

Alright, I check back in a little while and add some more if I'm stopping up the list Smiley

A little about me:  I'm 21 years old.  I like most colors.  The only ones I don'treally like are pale blue, orange, and purple.  But there are exceptions to every rule.  I live in a house with my boyfriend, three additional male roommates, occasionally a female roommate appears, a large-ish dog, and a fat-ish cat.  I crochet all the freaking time!  CONSTANTLY!  Unless I'm crafting something else, or playing Harvest Moon Smiley  I love to read.  I'm studying French and Spanish in college because I'm apparently insane.  I love learning languages and hope to one day know tons of them.  I cook a lot, but I hate to clean.  I accummulate clutter like no ones business.  I am a bit hippyish (in both senses  Tongue Tongue)  and I absolutely canNOT wait for Bonnaroo this year!  This will be my third Bonnaroo!  Alright, that was a lot of info!  Thanks in advance to anyone who might want to choose me  Grin  Check out my wist for an idea of what I dig, if you'd like: wists.com/eenodol
