I finally finished spinning the rest of the roving and here it is:

I couldn't tell you what the  yardage on this is, as I totally forgot to measure it before I wound it into a ball. But it's a single of the handdyed roving plied with pearl metallic machine embroidery thread (and there's some blue seed beads thrown in for good measure.

Still trying to figure out what to make with these.

I finished half of the roving now!

I had a bit of a problem with finding the right tension and spinning "flow" again after such a long break from spinning this that I decided to stop and ply first. I will probably spin the rest differently.

Cheesy I had to go look at the post where you displayed what I sent you because I had forgotten what the roving looked like! I love it with the green! I thought to myself, "I know she was my partner, but is thathe roving I dyed?" apparently so. LOL.

I like making stuff. Rumor has it, I'm an elf. Like a Santa Elf, not one of those elegant LOTR types.  Mostly because I compulsively craft and partially because I have green shoes.

I know this is being posted months later but I finally got around to spinning my roving. It still took me three months of stop and start action but it was worth it.

Its absolutely lovely but it was hard to get a good picture indoors, after dark. Hope everyone can see how nice it turned out. Grin
