i don't know quite what to call it as i'm not really sure how to go about making it Tongue

basically, i wanted to make a moomin creature for my moomin Wink on mothers day...i know it's a bit late (it crept up on me!!) but she can get it late because i've already got her a spa day....i'm nice like that Wink

ok...so i've never made anything like this before, and i was thinking of making it out of felt...? but then i decided that i didn't really know what i was doing Tongue so i thought i'd turn to my fellow craftsters for some much needed help!! Tongue

so, any ideas how i could go about doing this??? remember i've not attempted anything like this before so i'm a complete newbie! so maybe if you thought of a pattern you could send me a copy Cheesy

here's a few pics of moomin's incase you havent heard of them before...the one with the apron is mama moomin Tongue not sure whether to do that one or not

hmm just thought...a similar lookin hippo teddy could work haha! Cheesy

Instead of felt, I think you'd have an easier time making a sock critter.  You cut out one of the heels and use it as the muzzle.

Check out the sock monkey instructions here http://lennytaylor.freeyellow.com/Monkey.htm  and see if that doesn't give you ideas on how to work it.
