There is a book that A_A and I think Aroze both liked- may be in an earlier thread. Here is the link to that thread where they discussed a book they really liked- quite a few people bought it I believe.

Yup, I went into debit for that book too and was not a bit disappointed. As you can tell though, I haven't had the time to put it to use, lol.

I have that book, too.  Even though I've done nothing more than look at it a gazillion times now, I love it.  It is full of all kinds of great techniques.

I third (fourth?) the ATC Workshop book. Wonderful photos of beautiful cards and simple instructions on different techniques. You really can't go wrong with it.

Wink Ok OK you talked me into it -- naturally neither bookstore in town carries it so I ordered it and should have it next week.  Yeah!!!  Thanks so much for the input.

Tee, your cards are so good now when you do put it to use they will be even more WoW!  Shocked  Cool  Cheesy

I also got that book and love it.  Here are a few more that I like for ideas:
The Crafters Recipe Book (Jessica Wrobel)-a ton of ideas for "decorating" paper, fabric and other stuff

Collage Discovery Workshop: Beyond the Unexpected (Claudine Hellmuth)  Technically a big collage book but the ideas translate to ATC's

Altered Books, Collaborative Journals (Holly Harrison) - more cool ideas that you can also use on ATC's

Artists Journals and sketchbooks (Lynne Perrella)  booteeful book with yet more ideas Wink

The complete Guide to Altered Imagery (Karen Michel)- lots of great mixed media techniques and transfer ideas

Magazines like Somerset Studio and Cloth,Paper, Scissors also have lots of pretty pictures (bonus) and how to articles.   I always get books from the library first and see if they are worth dishing out the cash for.  Unfortunately for my bank account most make my cut (this is just a small part of my library Roll Eyes

Frankly though I have to say most of my favorite techniques are the ones I either figured out by fooling around with stuff or that I learned from other people here. But I can't say no to a book with pretty pictures.....

I also have that book and LOVE it. I've tried a lot of the techniques in it and liked many of them. I've checked out books at the library but none of them even almost compare to that one... I really like it!
