Okay, so I think conversation hearts are the cutest things in the whole world.  So I was DETERMINED to find a way to make a bracelet using REAL candy hearts and then some beads and heres what I came up with...

and heres a bit of a closeup...

Hope you like it!

It's pretty!  What did you use to preserve the candy hearts?

Too cute! How do you keep the candy from cracking and going bad?

Okay, what I did:

1.  Weed out all the crappy hearts from the good hearts.  You will have approximately 1/3 of them left!  Wink

2.  Spray with lacquer, front and back, 4x on each side

3.  Drill with dremel

4.  Use either 9 or 10mm rings - I stuck with my 9s, but it was incredibly frustrating because in closing them, several of the candy hearts would break and I think 10s would have been easier

5.  Thats it!  Its incredibly simple, but TIME CONSUMING, you have to be really careful and delicate-the drilling was actually way easy (I only broke a few), although you have to clean off your bit every 2-3 hearts.  the putting the rings through and then closing them again was MUCH harder and took forever

Thanks so much for the positive feedback!  Its been a little weird, because I loved it but really wasnt sure if other people would think it was pointless or weird...  Tongue
