I made these for my aunt, who just had a sweet baby boy this week.

The album was inspired by this tutorial.  I made a few changes, including using an album that was easy to disassemble.  I was able to pull the pages away from the album and then cover just the outside, then glue the pages back in.

Both projects are done using cotton batting, coordinating Winnie The Pooh fat quarters and trims.  I used acrylic craft paint on the box and Alene's jewel it glue on both projects, my favorite for gluing fabric to just about anything.

The box was an unfinished one I found at the craft store.  I took the lid off, removed the glass in the frames and painted it.  The picture slots are the backing from the frames covered with cotton batting and fabric.  It's lined with coordinating ribbon and fabric.

The paint and glue are still a bit wet in the last picture.  I made these last night and this morning you can't see any the shiny bits.

Thanks Smiley

I went into the project knowing what their color scheme was and that they already had quilts and crochet blankets, what I'd normally give for a gift.  I really hope they like it!
