It is so much fun to see everyones first handspun Smiley Mine is knitted into squares, dyed, blocked (first handspun, singles.. I guess you can guess how those squares were pre-blocking) and then sewed into a bag.

Now I present to you, bag from first handspun!

I like making stuff. Rumor has it, I'm an elf. Like a Santa Elf, not one of those elegant LOTR types.  Mostly because I compulsively craft and partially because I have green shoes.

After about one week of going through fiber friday archives I decided to get me a spindle! It arrived yesterday and I've been trying to improve almost constantly here are my first two attempts!

The first one on the spindle

Then in the tiniest lil' ball

Here they are both together

and a close up of my second on the spindle

I am loving the smell of wool!

I;m a little shy about posting this:
my Beloved made me a spindle last week and I had some roving sent to me in a swap package, I was home along today so thought I'd give it a whirl Smiley
this is what i ended up with:

my next problem being what to do with it now  Roll Eyes I tend to jump into things without really knowing what I'm doing  Grin

Use what talent you possess - the woods would be very silent if no birds sang except those that sang best
