Hey yall,
I really want to make a cookie jar for my boyfriend because he is truley the cookie monster in person. The only problem is I am better at sewing than anything. I was thinking I would probably make it out of wood and try to carve some designs into it, but I have no idea how to go out the actuall construction or hallowing out of a block of wood, etc. Any advice or tips would be great!
Thanks,
Naomi

I've got a craft book which has instructions for covering a metal cookie jar in fabric (basically gluing it on, and putting trim around the edges). You could maybe do some applique or embroidery on some fabric and cover a bought metal tin (because I don't have much knowledge on woodwork either)

Do you have one of those "paint your own ceramic" shops around you? That would be cute and I would imagine they would have cookie jars (??). I wouldn't know where to begin with wood...so no help there...but figured I'd throw in an idea. Good luck!
