I finished this shrug just in time for Valentine's Day.

I fell in love with Pinky Fluffurado, a handspun yarn by Natasha Fialkov. I had been trying to figure out a project that was wearable for me in Arizona, the climate is way to mild more me to wear a scarf or a hat. I really wanted that yarn, but what to make with it?!? Then, I remembered Knitty's Cleaves. I wasn't into the puffy sleeves, so I made them in in straight 2x2 rib instead. For the sleeves, I used and Knitpicks Shine in Blush, which is so smooth ans soft, really nice to work with. I used less than 3 balls of Shine, and 156 yards of handspun.

The yarns:

I like your variation too...It looks so much more wearable than the floppy, how-am-I-gonna-keep-this-on original...

It's gorgeous! The yarn looks yummy, and I really love the mods you made to the pattern, it looks completely different, and a lot more practical.

ps. love your specs.
