This is one of the gifts for my boyfriend on Valentine's Day. It still needs a few finishing touches, but for the most part it's complete. I just used a paper mache heart I bought from Hobby Lobby and cut an opening with a craft knife. I painted the entire ornament, inside and out. Then I bought some artificial roses that I snipped and hot glued to the inside. I photo copied a picture of us and glued that to cardboard, then glued a dresden halo behind that. There's a little plastic cupid in the upper right corner. I finished the edges with 2 layers of trim. The backside has a metal charm with an appropriate quote and the same trim around it (it was tough since the heart isn't smooth and flat to get it to lay right, but the trim hides that-although it is off center Grin). I glued some lovely dresden wings on either side of the charm and wah la! This is what I've got:

where do you find those lovely wings?  the heart with wings is one of my favorite images.  this piece is gorgeous!
