I used a pattern but altered it a bit to get the *poof* around the hips. My boyfriend said it's not too flattering but I don't care so much, it's the style I guess.

Maybe not everyone likes it, but I do! And I'm proud that I finally made something I like and that wasn't just from a pattern!

mmmmm i really dont like the style, it isnt very flattering. i think it makes you look a lot bigger than you are. i love the fabric though, and i can tell thats its very well-constructed. i'm glad you like it though... wear the hell out of it!! cheers to doing what you want Smiley

It defiantly is the "fashion". That is exactly the way my family is when they see me looking though fashion magazines, "Ewww..that's weird." You have to be able to appreciate it. And I do, I love it. It's constructed very well and the fabric is gorgeous. Congrats on it!

I think it looks nice. I just love that sort of silhouette.

After seeing that first comment about it not being flattering, I HAD to comment! You have the body to be able to wear anything you want honestly! The pattern is sooo gorgeous and chic, and it looks GREAT on you!!

It's adorable!  It does have that slightly balooned look that some empire waists get, but it still looks lovely on you Smiley

I recently got a friend addicted to knitting.  The look of madness and terror in her eyes as she whispered, "Maybe just one more round and then I'll stop . . ." will warm my twisted heart for weeks.

I love it! I love it! great design, the lines look really good on you. I think that could otherwise have been a big poofy hip bubble that makes a person look dumpy, but you pulled it off well and instead it's just kicky. Smiley the choice of fabric really makes it sing.
