Hi everyone, thanks for the kind words.
I will update this evening, just off to the eye specialist with my boy callum.
Our little dog is fretting, cried all night, it was a love hate relationship, but i think they enjoyed each other's company secretly. The old dog taught him to be a guard dog but he is a bit scared really.
Anyhow we are going to spoil him a bit and hope that helps.

what lovely items. the wristlets, aprons and bags are all fantastic.

It should!

You're definately one talented sewer and I highly reccomend your work  Smiley
Thanks!

I just tried to put on one of my kanzashi's and a little bit of superglue had gotten onto the clasp and glued it shut! OH NO!  Shocked But I want to wear it NOW!!

No worries! I dug through my jewellery stash, took the glued brooch-back off and put a new one on (Glued my fingers together in the process!  Grin Tricky stuff that superglue!) and now I'm just waiting for it to dry so I can wear it!   Kiss

Here are the promised pics!

I love the kanzashis! The colours are just right! They really buzz on my boring black clothes  Grin As you can see - I have already pinned them to my jacket!
You can see a corner of lol-lols friendly note down the bottom.
And the little buttons are magnets. They have pictures of a cute monkey, Princess Leia, Save Ferris (from Ferris Bueller's Day Off), Mr T (How cool is that?! Cheesy) and Ponch from CHiPs!!! ( If you're under 30 that won't mean anything to you Grin) They are SO COOL!

Thank you lol-lol! Kiss
(Someones' been stalking my Wists! Grin)

I recieved this apron from Kittenwrangler
How did she know to use my favourite fabric patterns? Wink
You might not be able to tell from the pic, but she's used batik fabrics along the top

OMG, Kitten Wrangler, I don't suppose you'd be up for a personal swap for an apron in those fabrics, but the style you already made me??? Shocked That is GORGEOUS!!!! Grin

Geek-Pride, that's an awesome little purse!

eCreations, glad you like the wristlet!

Everybody is making AWESOME stuff this swap! Cheesy

Jane Doe, you can't believe how much it warms my heart to hear that you love the batik fabric. Like I said in the note I included, I've had that fabric sitting in my fabric stash for years ('twas an op-shop pick up) and I wanted it to be appreciated.

I used to study batik, and I know that the batik in that apron is of fairly alright quality (I don't think hand-done (batik tulis) but probably hand-stamped (batik cap). Definitely not factory made, and judging by the way it's worn and stuff, probably originally from Indonesia).

So, I'm really really sorry mmd32, but I'm all out of the fabric now Sad
But you look plenty cute in your apron!! I love the way that aprons bring out the hausfrau in all of us. I also love the way that they do actually look a little like dresses - I'd made one for a good friend of mine, and that was the first thing she said too!

I've received.... THRICE!

Sweet!!

First up, the wallet from queenofdiy:

Isn't it bewdiful??!? I can't abide doing fiddly stuff like this, so I'm incredibly pleased. I love the colours, I love having a spot for all my change to hang about in (especially useful for laundry day). It was put to use the MOMENT I pulled it out of the postpack.

Then, today, I received from mmd32:

Purty! I don't have a use for it yet - but something will present itself. I imagine it may come out with me on nights when I don't want to carry a proper bag - because it's big enough to carry everything I normally can't leave home without.

And then!:

My domino pendants from lol-lol! OMG! She made a special one on request for me - the one on the left. The kanji says 'mono no aware', (look it up on wikipedia), which is a Japanese concept relating to the 'ah-ness of things'. It's a sort of sadness that one feels when you look at the world, and realise that it isn't perfect, but it's still beautiful. And that concept seems to encapsulate the sadness that I tend to experience from time to time. But that's not all... oh no... she also included...

Magnets!:

Sweet... these of course, went straight onto the fridge and are holding up all my takeaway menus. Lol-lol went very carefully through my wists, because these three:

Are all tshirts that I one day yearn to own. The w00t one I especially like, as I have an incredibly emo/leet cousin who comes to stay with me often - and I think he'd like it very much!

Thank you so much to you three guys - and I can't wait for my next two to arrive!
