I love these little packets of candies from the Celebration Fantastic catalog- but they are stupidly expensive, so I'm gonna make my own as little stocking stuffers for all the kids in my family.
here's the link to their website:

I'm definitely going to do coal!  Probably the "Elf Pillows" (pillow mints) "Mistle Toes" (looks like those raspberry shaped candies) the "we fish you a merry xmas" (sweedish fish) "reindeer food" (red and green jelly beans) and "Reindeer Noses" (little red ball shaped candies) too...

Anyone got any other clever ideas?  I'm going to hit a candy store tomorrow to get supplies!

I love your idea for reindeer noses!

I have a packet of "Snowman Poops" (mini marshmallows) that still makes me laugh out loud.  The marshmallows are packaged with some hot chocolate and a chocolate-dipped spoon.  Despite my addiction to all things food, I"ve kept the little packet for a couple years, because I laugh so hard when I pull it out of the ornament box.  Probably not edible anymore.  But still adorable.

i always enjoy handing out bags of reindeer poop  Wink

put some chocolate covered raisins in a ziplock baggie (you can use the smaller sized baggies that are made for snacks, rather than the sandwich size). i make the label out of a folded peice of paper (the same width as the bag). you can draw a reindeer and write "reindeer poop" or print out a label on your computer. i've made black and white labels in the past so that I could photocopy the original to make several labels. then you place the top of the baggie inside the opening of the "card" and staple it on. you'd be surprised at how professional it looks!

I discovered at the candy store (which was insanely expensive!) that Jelly Belly makes PLUM flavored jelly beans- these would make great Sugar Plum Fairies!

Label: "Don't eat the Yellow Snow"
Lemon rock candy or sour ball candies like Lemonheads Kiss

I love this idea and will keep thinking...
