So many bright colors.  I did pastels this week and now I wish I hadn't!
Here is some Tussah Silk I dyed and then spun into a dk weight.

This is 80% Merino/20% Tussah Silk, also dk weight.

Looking Good everyone!!

Bitibis:  Love those colors!

RepoRebo:  Love the plied "sweetarts"!!

AishaCelia:  Wow!!That metallic thread is impressive with those colors...I have to try this!

For me this week, lots of dyeing and not as much spinning....
Here's a braid of roving I dyed ...some Columbia dorset in purples/golds...still unnamed until it is a yarn...

And my skein for the week...a muted down version of last weeks...
130 yds 2ply corriedale, bulky weight...still unnamed...

It's pouring here, so i hope to spin up more yarn over the next few days!!!  yeah for rainy days!!

rubysdaughter: The tussah looks lovely. I've only worked with a little tussah, and it spins up so nicely. Your's is inspiring me to get my hands on some more.

Everyone has such great yarn this week. Really vibrant!

All of my fiber this week was 100% merino:

This is the roving and the single I posted last week, plied together. 137 yards. It's going to be made into a pair of slippers.

Some roving I dyed this week; I haven't yet started spinning it yet.

I did a pastel this week, too. 106 yards, plied with light pastel holoshimmer. I spun the single on a top whorl spindle that I made myself.

I'll probably be uploading bigger pictures in my blog and my Flickr, later, if anyone is interested in closeups. Smiley

I lovelovelove that yarn, AishaCelia! It reminds me of gypsies at the renaissance fair!
Great job on that slipper yarn, CroBex! It's purty.

I've just received a pound of merino in the mail and my fingers are itching to start spinning it up! Maybe I'll have something to contribute next Friday.

Wow, everyone's spinning is gorgeous this week.  So many colors and textures.

I don't have anything to share as I'm deep in the throes of spinning up 2 pounds of bulky weight yarn for a sweater.

There are so many luscious yarns today! I'm jealous!

Leftovers from koolaid dying, wool

Sheepshed wool, food coloring dyed

Sheepshed wool, food coloring dyed, I really like this one; so glad to break out of the pastel coloring rut! Not that there's anything wrong with that..

Can't wait to see more yarn, people!
