After seeing Karrie's free pattern (http://www.girlontherocks.com/knit/blog/2006/11/25/sniffles-knitted-tissue-cover/) for a knit tissue holder, I had to make one for myself.

Tada!  I just had to share because I think this is a great project for yarn remnants from larger projects, and it's such a lovely stitch - it would make a great scarf.

It IS a lovely stitch! It looks a little tricky though - is it difficult?

LOL You so had me tricked with the picture of the "apple hat" on your blog - was that the same yarn as this?

It looks like a Clapotis. So I love it!

I think I'm going to make one, too!

Speaking of scarves:
The stitch used on your tissue holder made me think of My So Called Scarf at sheep in the city blog.
Do a Search for the blog and/or the scarf pattern. You'll be very glad you did.
Or PM me and I can send you the URL of the archives for the scarf pattern.

edit: Have just realized that I like *your* tissue holder a lot better because it is knit in a solid colour. Karrie's is done in variegated yarn which doesn't distinguish the stitch as much.

Happy Knitting!
