I didn't want to post a million times in this category, but I didn't want to wait and post everything when it gets done.  So I'm going to be adding photos of things as they get finished.

August 12, 2007:  What a beautiful day!

Wedding Hair and Makeup:
Not so much DIY, but I just had a run through with my wedding hair and makeup.  I very much love it.  Can't believe the wedding is only 12 days away.  Here are a couple photos.

Back:

Invitations:
Sage green cardstock with cream (soft white) paper.  I laid them out using Adobe Illustrator, and the flowers and RSVP are all rubber stamped.  I changed up some fonts and decided against using the gold, as posted below under RSVP.  They went out last week and I got my first confirmed guest RSVP today!

New RSVP card:

Centerpieces:
Compote dishes with coffee beans and votive candles.

Invitations (RSVP Cards finished, rest in progress):  You can't see because of the crappy photo, but the paper is a light sage green, and the RSVP is stamped in gold ink.

Save the Date cards:

My boy didn't like the idea of cartoon characters for our save the date cards until I presented him with this South Park inspired duo.  They were really easy.  If you can draw a circle (and anyone with a compass or some kind of lid to trace around), you can do these guys.  I just googled some images and tailored them to fit us.

Since I didn't really come up with the cartoon (just modified it), I wouldn't want to do it for someone.  Besides, things are crazy enough over here with all the stuff left for me to do.  But they really were easy.  You'll do fine.

Hi. I absolutly LOVE them. My fiance and I were going for the whole "cartoonish" thing. I think that the guy drawing for us (a tattoo artist) would love to do it.

Do you mind if I use your cartoon people and modify them a little for my own if it gets okay-ed?

There is a flash program online where you can create your own southpark character....

http://images.southparkstudios.com/games/create/sp_game.swf

They don't have wedding dresses as a costume, but here's an drugged out angel that I created.

BTW, I think your hand drawn southpark couple is way cuter than this! Smiley

Thanks for all the compliments guys.  As far as using the design, be my guest.  I don't claim it as my own design since it's essentially modified south park characters.  Just be aware if you plan to sell something with the design on it, you might run into copyright issues.

I love the RSVP lettering.  Does anyone have any idea which font that would be under?  I know you used a stamp, but that lettering is awesome!
