I made some new felt stuffies. Cheesy

First up are some pear pincushions, inspired by HELLOmynameisHeather:
(the red one is made from crushed velvet)

And then I also made this kitten thing. I think it's a kitten anyways.  Wink
The other sad looking kid in the bear suit is Poor Leno, from the Royksopp video.

Love the pears.

Also the stuffies.  Especially the little guy with the worried expression on his face.

Great job!

Thanks so much everyone.

Just give me a few minutes to scan in the parts and then I'll post the pattern for the pear. Cheesy

Okay, here is the pattern as requested. I just scanned in my cardboard pieces and used photoshop to make this printable version. Smiley

http://img507.imageshack.us/img507/1073/pearpatternkopiexk0.th.jpg

You can print it out any size that you like. To give you an idea, my cardboard piece for the pear is about 6" (16cm) long, which makes a pear almost 5" (12cm) tall (about 6" with the stem and leaves).

Hmm, are instructions needed? I'm so bad at explaining these things (also because English isn't my first language Cheesy ).

The rectangle makes the stem, I sewed it up using the ladder stitch.

I found that the pear sides match up easier, if you first make 3 pairs out of those 6 pieces. You know, always put two together, sew them up on one side. And also, I started sewing at the top, so that in case they don't match up exactly it's gonna be on the bottom, where you can't see. Cheesy

Uh, what else...oh, leave a little hole on the top for pushing the stem and leaves through (I sewed the leaves to the bottom of the stem with a couple of stitches).
Sew up all the 6 pieces of your future pear, turn it right side out and push the stem&leaves piece through the hole in the top. (I left the stuffing hole on the bottom, by not sewing the last side up completely)
Then reach inside, grab a hold of the stem and top of your pear and pull that bit out through your stuffing hole and stitch the stem in place it with a few stitches.
Then you're ready to stuff it. Okay, hope that helps. Post some pictures if you make one too. Smiley

after seeing your beautiful pears I decided to make one, too!
so here is the second one I made so far (my bf claimed the first one to be his right after I finished it, so I had no time to take a picture ^^")

thank you for your lovely comments!  Cheesy
today I felt like making a matching mini owl...it is very small, just like 1.4 inches (3,5 cm) tall.. this hasn't got anything to do with pears directly, but I'm posting pictures anyway ^^"

I'm currently working on another pear which resembles the first one I made, but I don't own a sewing machine so the whole handstitching takes its time >_< I hope to finish it by tomorrow or so... *-*

haha, that owl is so cute. I especially like the pic next to the "giant" pear. I actually also made some owls a while ago. But I like your pattern better. Mind sharing it?

And though my mom does own a sewing machine, I have no idea how to use it and have to sew everything by hand as well. So time consuming. :/

Here's one of my owls. I call him Igor (for obvious reasons  Grin):

These pears are fabulous!  I make one and I just love it.  I was wondering if it would be alright to sell pears made from your pattern.  Would that be okay with you?
