This pattern came together over a weekend, though I still have to face the armholes and hem the skirt.
The pattern was -- decent-ish.  The instructions were awful.  If I hadn't sewn anything before, I'm afraid I would have made a terrible mess out of it.  Also: not a fan of the new "cup size" pattern pieces, which conveniently exclude "A" as a cup size.  Sorry, I'm a small woman.  And it seemed that they missed the "b" cup (which is the size I used) top facing entirely, so I cut down the 'C'.  Also, their "14" inch zipper -- the space in which to sew it only requires about a 10 inch.

It has a cute bow tied in front, and the top wraps -- hard to tell because of the busy pattern.

Other than that, I think it's cute! and I'm looking forward to making another one in a plain color. :-)

Sorry to hear about the problems, but you got there in the end! And the end result looks fantastic - it's going to be perfect for summer...

love the fabric! I have sewn for years and years but some patterns just make you want to throw it out the window and finish it up yourself. I sometimes get extremely frustrated by following a pattern. It's so silly really you would think they want to sell you more patterns and keep the wording simple.
But I do love what you did with it. It looks fabulous on you too!

I dont know if I'm going to be able to do it.... ugh... and your post has me really scared now.... I guess we'll see how it goes huh?!

I know -- the instructions are horrible, which seems to be the norm for Simplicity patterns these days.  Urgh. You can post/msg/email me with any questions, and I'll be glad to help you out. :-) I still have the pattern with me for reference!

Oh you're so sweet.... I still haven't gotten the courage to begin yet... I'm thinking about shipping it off to good ole Grandma so she can make it for me!!!
