I made these purses about a year ago, but I just started posting on craftster recently, so I thought I'd share. The first one I made was the one with the purple & white polka dotted ribbon, yellow ribbon, & purple lining. (Purple and Gold for LSU, where I go to school) I had seen them in the mall for like $30 and knew I could make one for myself for a lot less, so I set out to do it Smiley I ended up making several more and sold 4 of them.

this was one of my faves:

i sold the next two to a lady who saw me with my LSU one at walgreens Smiley

Your Jean purses looks great!!!  I made one a few months ago and it didn't come out as nice as yours.  I had trouble sewin the lining in.  I was doing ok until I got to the belt loops and button.

Did you have any trouble sewing the lining in when you got to the belt loop and the front button?

Thanks for the feedback, everyone Smiley

kyo123: When I got to the belt loop & front button, I just raised the presser foot on my machine and kind of pushed it along and made it work lol. The stitching on that part wasn't quite as smooth as the rest of the purse, but on the outside it was hidden by the ribbon & it blended in with the lining, so you really can't tell.
