My AP English teacher is leaving for Kansas soon, and at first I wanted to get him ruby slippers or something, but...zero dinero.

We read Macbeth in class, and on Devil's Night (October 30th), we performed it for parents and students and everything. He says that that was one of his favorite parts of the year, so I decided to give him something to remember that by.

The skull is wearing a crown, see? Hah. It's supposed to be Macbeth's head...self-explanatory, I think. The "Something Wicked" is both in reference to a line from the play ("By the pricking of my thumb/something wicked this way comes") and, I'll say, because he is wicked sweet, or something.

And that's the back. The date is 10.30.06 (not 10.20.06: I'll have to touch that up later), and, like I said, is the date that we performed the play. Great fun. I just hope he'll wear it...

And for myself (blank shirts were 5/$10 at Michael's today! Score!), I made this shirt:

Of course, when I looked at it to take that picture, I realized that it was pretty horribly crooked. So I wanted to add something that would make it look less accidental.

That's the final product. I'm really happy with how it turns out, though I'll end up wearing a shirt under it (it's thin, and I prefer long sleeves anyway).

What do you think? ^_^

Looking for poly-clay earrings: one bacon, one fried egg. Also, a mishmash of red/orange/gold bracelets--beaded, braided, bangles, whatever! If you have the supplies, let's talk! (Please?) I'll swap all kinds of things in return!

I love that book and I adore that part of the book.

The sky is blue and righteous in every direction. The sun is total and burning and just there in front. We're on top of the clouds and this is a beautiful day forever. -Chuck Palahniuk, Survivor
