National Geographic Postcards

This is one project that I tend to always be working on  I use the uber cheep 2nd hand magazine, plain colored paper, white cardstock and who could forget the glue.  Here are some that I've already done

I've got them in the 4x6 inch ziplocks from the craft section at Walmart. . .I'd like to get myself upto making on or more a day.  It is great to just grab a few magazines and start ripong and sorting when I think my muse is stuck. . .wakes her right back up again!

Thanks. . .was talking to a Stamping Up lady today at a bazar and she started talking about how their line has matching inks and paper so as to make thing easy.  Had a hard time not chuckeling cause I match with out even thinking about it.  At work, when I worked, people were always asking 'how did you do that' and I'd be I don'know.  Anytime I'm doing crafts it seems more like a reflex than thinking. . .like I'm not even the one making it just the tool that was used.  If I try to make something it turns out bad but of I don't try it turns out great!  But here I am rambeling, a good sighn it is. . .time for bed!

I love them!  What a great idea.  I bought some old National Geographic mags a while back and didn't know what to do with them.  I'll  have to make a trip to Wal-Mart this weekend for the cardstock.  Thanks for the fabulous inspiration!

An easy trick is to use a pack of 4" by 6" index cards....you won't have to do any cutting!

Stella Marrs started out making postcards from National Geographics, and now she is the postcard queen!  Read this article to learn more about her younger days....she is such an inspiration to me!

I think this is also a great for putting up in picture frame.
