So i wanted to wear a pretty dress for when my one and only returned from work ((three weeks on, three weeks off if you've been stalking me Smiley )). I'll be meeting him at the airport and I wanted him to get off the plane with all his other workmates and go, "See that girl? She's mine."

So I made this.

Pretty tight in the boobage area eh? prolly won't be wearing a bra with this one haha. Also the straps will get in the way as the 'straps/sleeves' are so far apart.

It's had many names since i purchased the fabric, originally it was the "i'm a retro housewife on  her honeymoon in hawaii" then it went to the Island Fever dress, but I don't tan, so there goes that idea Smiley

This is the Tim dress Smiley ((also the prototype for what I'm thinking my wedding dress may look like))

Pattern made by me. So yeh, if you've seen my Voodoo Love dress, you'll notice that I drafted them pretty identical. This one is a tighter fit as I wasn't really concentrating on the sideseams. I took the little strappy parts off the first pattern i made, so it was strapless, then drafted this strap shape from the parts I cut off. Pretty simple, but effective Wink

I really love this dress. I made my own bias binding too, out of the scrappy pieces of fabric ((I had an issue with the armholes so I bound them))

Oh yeh, and because i wanted to look 'tropical' i took the photos near the only 'tropical' looking tree we have, completely forgetting that my iron is not a native tree dweller, so here is the obligatory iron shot ((Again, if you've been post stalking me, you'll realise there is a method to the madness))

It looks really tight doesn't it? It's just the fabric, I hate ironing ((I HATE THE IRON mostly)), I mean, it is tight on me, but not as sausagey as it makes me look there lol Smiley

EDIT:: NEW pics

That's really cute! I don't think it looks tight at all, there's a difference between tight and well fitted.  You must let us know what your beau thinks of you!

Say hello to my lil' friend!

Ah Tim, coming home.
I like the top part of the dress. With the neckline and stuff like that. It looks cool.

Why drink and drive when you can smoke dope, eat soap and fly home in a bubble!
