I'm starting a craft business and I'm not too familair with scrapbooking. What would be the must have and cool to have tools and equipment for this craft?

I'm aware of some such as:

Shape templates
Hole punches
Paper trimmers
Die cut sets
Eyelet setters
Patterned scissors
Rubber stamps and ink
Different colors and types of paper

Thanks for your help. You'll probably see me posting in other areas of the board asking the same thing about other crafts.

Thanks sooo much!
Melissa

Fibers! I love those,  stickers, alphabets, albums. I can't think of anything else right now.

Yes thats what I mean. But there are types of glues that are normally using in scrapbooking such as metal glues, glue dots, special tape adhesives for vellum etc. I suggest browing online scrapbooking stores and other online stores that are for the type of crafting supplies you want to carry.

Ribbon is also used a lot in scrapbooking along with buttons and bottlecaps. Embossing powders are also used quite a bit in scrapbooking and card making.

But I want to know what scrapbookers want! Smiley

The easiest ways to compile this list:
- surf online scrapping stores
- pick up scrapping magazines (Creating Keepsakes, Simple Scrapbooks, etc) & see what's being advertised

I like when a store carries an entire product line from a company - so that I know I can get anything from that specific company at the store.

Ditch the die cut machine, and get set-up with a computer & plotter (Wishblade & CraftRobo are good for home use, but you might want their big sister for the store)

The equipment I will be purchasing will be used in-house for a craft workshop. It wouldn't be selling them. I would be selling deletable supplies such as paper, glue, etc...

Thanks for your help.

Yes, I understand that this is for an in-house craft workshop.  And everything I suggested would be appropriate for that.

By reading magazines and surfing online scrapping stores, you can see what's being sold - often the sites indicate the current *hot* items.

The computer & plotter would be a big draw for your customers - they pay for each diecut they get.
