I stayed inside during the ice storm today and made these armwarmers.

I hope they work well when I have to clear all the ice off my car tomorrow. Smiley

They look like an ice storm.  Did you use a pattern or just make it up as you went?  I like the varigation in the yarn.

I made a few armwarmers so far and I just made up the pattern as I went. It's very basic.  I used medium yarn on 9 needles and cast on 27 and did 29 rows then I used a plastic needle and double strand yarn to blanket stitch up the side leaving room for a thumb hole.  I'm sorry I'm not very good at explaining, I am very new to knitting anything but a basic blanket and scarf. Oooh I like those colors. Very storm inspired. Nice job!
Aren't ice storms a great excuse to sit around and knit all day?  Wink
