To whoever is putting Tenacious D, I applaud and thank you! GREAT Choice (for a little comedic relief)

The song that my boy and I have decided to dance to at our wedding is going to be
"I'll be the One" By Gov't Mule.
Every time I hear it, it just lights me up. That will be the opening song on my CD

I guess it's about time this can be revived for 2009.  Here are some I thought of while looking over this list (which is very helpful btw, I'll be listening later to all the songs I've never heard of!):

Jewel - Near You Always/ Morning Song

The Avett Brothers - Do You Love Him/ A Lover Like You/ Love Like the Movies (If you haven't heard them before, these are good songs, but by no means an adequate representation of their greatness...check them out!)

Jerry Lee Lewis or X - Breathless

Incubus - Stellar/ I Miss You

Cranberries - When You're Gone/ Close to You (remake of The Carpenters' song)

Aaliyah - At Your Best (remake of The Isley Brothers song)/ All I Need

Bouncing Souls - You're So Rad (I like it, haha)

Billie Holiday - Without Your Love

*I guess a lot of these are sad, miss you songs, but they're great for long-distance!

Okay, I've got a few.. did a quick iTunes wheel through..

- Avenged Sevenfold - Warmness on the Soul (a serious rock ballad from the usual hardcore band, piano and all. I'd play it at my wedding).
- Against Me! - I Still Love You Julie (pretty much the only love song by my favourite band...)
-Alkaline Trio - Clavicle (even if you don't like Alkaline Trio, this song is both funny and awesome - "I want to wake up naked next to you, kissing the curve of your... CLAVICLE")
- Art Brut - Emily Kane (ahh... young love.)
- Damien Rice - The Blower's Daughter
- Freezepop - Stakeout (synth pop delight)
- Madeleine Peyroux - You're Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go (sounds like a classic jazz standard... but she's definitely not from the 40's!)
- Mountain Goats - Jenny (all about love and the freedom of the road)
- Snow Patrol - Run (definitely romantic, even still feels romantic even though it was my song with my ex from a while back. Ha.)

Questionably Romantic:
- The Decemberists - We Both Go Down Together (okay, there's love, but there's also jumping off a high place together...)
- Ima Robot - I'm a B*tch For You (self explanatory)
- Streetlight Manifesto - The Big Sleep (well... some parts are romantic?)
- Dresden Dolls - The Jeep Song (okay, decidedly not too romantic exactly... I felt it needed to be on this list because it's about infatuation with an ex)

.... hm. I found some good tunes from the previous posters! (I had a radio show at my university for a couple years, and I always did theme shows. I should have done a love theme once!)

"1,2,3,4" - The Plain White T's

"Tangled Up In You" - Staind(I first heard this song at an Aaron Lewis concert, I went kicking and screaming to it, after I heard him sing this I cried, and am now a fan)

my wist: http://www.wists.com/erinmarieZ

"I do not regret the things I've done, only those I did not do"
"I got my toes in the water, a** in the sand..." -Zac Brown Band

Very good list!! As I was scrolling through, the song that came to mind was "1,2,3,4" by Plain White T's and I couldn't believe no one had mentioned it, until I read the very last post... lol

Also, a fantastic song is "Whatever it is" by Zac Brown Band, I know its country and a lot of these songs aren't but its sooo good!

"I'm yours" by Jason Mraz also comes to mind...

"Leave something good in everyday" -Dolly Parton
