Okay, I fibbed. It's for my Toshiba Gigabeat, but "ipod sock" is more catchy than "gigabeat sock".
I loved the look of Eunny Jang's Endpaper Mitts, but I couldn't wrap my mind around the functionality of fingerless mittens (Also, size 0 needles are scary). So I used two repeats of her diamond pattern to make a cozy sock for my mp3 player. I wanted the fair isle to be more traditional, so I added corrugated ribbing and whatever that checkerboard type thing is called. I also added one of those seam stripes down the side, because they're nifty.
I knit it top down, in the round, with worsted weight yarn and size 4 DPNs, and ended it with a three needle bind off.
Anyway, on to the pictures!

You can find the chart I used and the mitten pattern here
