I have a handbag business in Boston.  I'm looking for a place where I can donate a few of my handbags for charity.    Please let me know if you have any ideas of an places or groups who  I could contact that might be interested..

My site is:  www.ray-minshoulderware.com

I'm not sure about a place to donate the actual bags for charity, but... during the month of October (and probably often throughout the year) we are donating 50% of all purchases made from out site to the Connor Kirby Infant Memorial Foundation
The woman that runs the site is amazing, and they do amazing things!

I'm not in Boston, but if you're still looking for charities to donate your handbags, I would suggest looking for organizations for battered women, and those that help homeless women find employment. Many of these groups take donations of business clothing and accessories, so I'm sure they would be glad to have some of your handbags!

Project Hope accepts donations of "business appropriate attire" and might be a place to start.  Here's their wishlist

I found it by doing a search for Boston Non-Profit on google.  I'm sure they'd be a starting point, anyway.  There's a child advocacy organization in my town (nationally known) called Cedar's.  They have a number of different programs benefiting youths from newborn to age of majority.  One of the things they do every year at the holidays is take donations in the form of gifts for the kids in their youth homes.  I usually make jewelry every year for their teen girls, and my mother makes dolls for the younger girls.  We always throw in some toys and cool accessories for the boys, too.  They are a tax deductible donation, and it's always fun to put the package together!  You might see if there is an organization in Boston that is similar.

Sometimes I post at Lothruin.com!

Find me on Ravelry as Lothruin! Actually, really, find me almost everywhere as Lothruin!

Thanks so much!  I just emailed Project Hope....I don't know if they're looking for bags, but they are looking for fabric and sewing supplies, which I can donate.

I appreciate all the info!
