i'm sorry if i posted this before, i can't recall if i have. in any case this is the sign-in board i made as a gift for my sister's bat mitzvah. the theme was tropical so i just looked up pictures of all sorts of tropical flowers and and painted them in acrylic on the white plexiglass sheet. my only regret is that i ran out of glitter glue.

funny story with the penguin and the flamingo, my sister said her favorite animal for years was a flamingo but then realized when she was older that she had mixed up flamingoes and penguins. so there we have our little penguin lost in the tropics.

in any case it was a hit, especially with the matching sharpies. i wish i had more opportunities to make a few more of them. bnai mitzvah decorations are always fun...

That is wonderful!  I always get penguins and pelicans confused when I need their name out of my brain really fast!   Grin

I agree, you can never have enough glitter or sparkle!

what a great project....love it..... you have inspired me to make a message board with a scene for my dd's at least i know they would actually look at it & it wouldn't look like the standard boring message board...
