I did a search but couldn't find the thread I was looking for -- it was on here a while ago so I'm not sure if it's here anymore.  But it gave a cast-on method for ribbing that looks nice & smooth, as if you didn't cast on at all.  It's hard to explain but it basically looks like you go straight into the ribbing and it makes a nice neat edge.  Anyone have any idea what I'm talking about? I'm working on designing my own sweater that has a ribbed edge and I'd like to try this technique on it. Thanks in advance for any leads.  Smiley

That looks like a pretty good candidate.  I'll give it a shot.  Thanks!

I like this method for 2x2 rib:  https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=15617.0

And this one for 1x1 rib because it's so basic: http://www.math.unl.edu/~gmeisters1/papers/Knitting/techniques.html (no pictures, unfortunately)
