I do not know about you, but I have made book purses before, just two, always wanted to make more, but I just can't tear no book, so what did I do, I made my own book using plastic canvas and Scotch tape. I used paint on the outside and felt in the inside.  I plan to make a better one once I don't run out of the Scotch tape like I did this one, because I like how I have done the alternative book.  So, this was kind of done bit of sloppy, but I wanted to be able to enter my first challenge, and everything was going good till I ran out of Tape.  You can click the pic to make it bigger.

The first picture is front of the book purse, It says Not Your Average Thug by Leehom Wang.  Sometimes, he sings Chinese Hip Hop and R&B.  But, he grew up in America.  So, he knows his English. (It is not a book, but a song, if you have not heard it, you should listen to it, the song is really good and he sings it just right)

The second picture is the spine of the book purse

The third picture is the review of the book (which is actually some words from the song).  It says No Rolex on my Wrist, or Platinum on my chest, cause I don't need that sh to impress, But y' all don't get it twisted, I got love for the ghetto, Tho I'm not your Average Thug

The fourth picture is the sides of the book purse, it is suppose to look like pages.

The fifth picture is the inside of the book purse.

The sixth picture is another front view of the book purse.

I hope all of you like my alternative way to have a book purse.

I'm with you, I don't think I could ever damage a book lol

So was this an all no-sew project too?? Wow! Very awesome!

Yay! Someone posted.  It was no sewing at all, I was going to at first to put the plastic canvas together (the kind I use is the one you cross-stitch and stuff on) by sewning it with yarn, but it was like very late, and I was lazy, so I was like how can I hurry up and enter, and there was the tape, the sucky part is that it ran out.  Maybe because I went over the places that was suppose to held the plastic canvas together to look like a book over and over, lol.
