Awww you rock!! Well I am sure other knitted items will follow at a later date Smiley

Thanks for posting photos of my goodies too!!! I'll do up some shots too, cause it is fun to see the stuff you sent in someone else's environment!
I think this was my favorite thing ever. Well besides cookies cause I reallly like cookies! Can't wait to see what goodies everyone else came up with!!

Just got my swap parcel from Taerowyn. It was on top of a watering can in the back garden, god knows how long it was there for... Why don't postmen knock anymore?

I got-

* An hand embroidered Jane Eyre bookmark- "I am no bind; and no net ensnares me; I am a free human being with an independent will."
* A Jane Eyre microscope slide magnet- "come to me -- come to me entirely now. Make my happiness-- I will make yours." with Jane and Mr Rochester.
*A crocheted turquoise, pink and black garden scarf. That was for Delirium from The Sandman graphic novels.
* A Delirium microscope slide magnet.
* A white hoodie with "Veni, Vici..." on the front and "Vetinari" on the back with a stencil of the man himself. Squeeeeeeee! I love Vetinari... Yes I am a freak.
* A Pratchett microscope slide magnet- "A good bookshop is just a genteel blackhole that knows how to read."

I just hope she likes the things I sent cos I've got major swap anxiety now!

I love that Vetinari hoodie.

I received a great parcel from Scatter Kincaid. I got lots of goodies. I'll post pics later. I got a lovely wallet, a pouch with a magnifying glass, a journal, a reading is sexy T shirt, greeting cards, and three books ( a very funny book by Stuart McLean, a Canadian humorist, a vintage edition of Pride and Prejudice and a very cool vintage cook book.) Everything was perfect for my taste and was beautifully presented. The photos are a bit dark, everything looks better IRL.

This is everything together, except one of the books, which has vanished upstairs. The t shirt is so well done and I think she said it was her first time doing a silk screen. I put it on straight away.

This is a close up of the wallet. I love detective novels so she put a skeleton key on it. Isn't it cool? The book with the purple leaves is the "story of the swap" - why she made things and her thoughts about what she made, which was a great idea.

This is the journal with the book marks and the pouch and magnifying glass. The journal is covered with lilac corduroy. The bookmarks are covered with quirky fabric(isn't the little girl one great). I asked for a bookmark I couldn't lose so she made me 7, even to lose a few and still have one, hopefully.

This is the reverse of the pouch with a Sherlock Holmes appliqué and the inside of the journal - she stamped every page with a '?' stamp!

And finally this is a shot of the cards and two of the books. The Pride and Prejudice has lovely illustrations and the cookbook is so funny - "Catch his Eye with Pie" (I collect old cookbooks and household manuals, the cheesier the better) The cards feature pictures from another vintage cookbook.

Wasn't I spoiled?
