Can the one for this month (all the colors) be something in a verigated pastel or does it need to be true rainbow colors?

As long as it is shades/hues of the true rainbow colors it is A-OK! That goes for all of the colors too.

I'm going to my favorite fabric store at lunch looking for inspiration. I don't think I'll have time to embroider boxers.

Is it just an ordinary square with  the hearts crocheted over the top later?

The hearts are worked into the square as you make it, not added later.

Oh wow--those rainbow pads sure would brighten anyone's time of month!!

Homerof2--you always come up with the coolest patterns!  I love the hearts on the square and the colors are certainly rainbow-y!

I can't find the usb connector for my camera, and for some reason, my cell won't download the pics off of it, or email them Embarrassed

I've finished one rainbow project, although not the one I had intended to do at first. In my lack of patience for waiting for the pretty rainbow yarn I bought off ebay to arrive (for a baby blanket I'm planning), I picked up some Patons Canadiana in rainbow yesterday while I was out to pick up some circular needles. From that, I made the umbilical cord hat from SnB.

I am SO happy with how it turned out! I wasn't overly fond of the yarn at first (my daughter actually picked it out for me to make something for her new sibling on the way), but it's knitted up beautifully - very stripey with only one section that's semi-icky (it's a brownish colour where the green goes to orange - but it's very tiny). I'm especially proud of it because it's my first project knitted in the round, and the first time I've had to use dpns Smiley

I will post pics as soon as I find the cord for my camera  Smiley

My rainbow project is 3/4 of the way done, but I started a major bedroom/craftroom organization overhaul a couple of days ago, and I've promised myself that I'm not working on ANY projects until I have everything cleaned up.

behold - the rainbow ipod cozy.  I have had this skein of koigu ppm and for the life of me have not been able to make anything out of it I like.  I have discovered that I am just not a thin yarn lady no matter how pretty it is - so doubled it's all good.  Add a little strap and we're good to go! Rock on! Katie

Thanks, I have had this koigu for like (omg like 4 years!!!) and have started but never finished anything with it.  I tried to knit the rockstar scarf from knitty (ages ago) and just can't do anything big on small needles.  I have accepted that about myself and have moved on.  Socks only happen on #5 or bigger.  That's fine - I'm not a bad person really.  Though I can bead bracelets on 0000's!!!!! Beads are a whole different animal man!! Weird I am Weird I tell you !!!! Well, now that you know more about me than you really wanted to know . . .  I am sure there's a thread about our quirky tendencies and things that we will and won't do . . . k

I've just taken up beading, so I present to you my rainbow necklace:

It's a tad bit wonky, but all in all I'm pretty happy with it.
