What about making valentines out of construction paper and those heart doilies and glue and glitter.

How about coffee filter flowers? Where you paint the coffee filters with water colors and put a few of them on a pipe cleaner. They look like peonies. Colored tissue papers could be used too, if painting is inconvenient.

I love the coffee filter idea. I seem to always forget about that craft. My daughter did it in school and they drew on the filter with markers and then you lightly spray it with water to make the colors run. I am also the homeroom mom for my middle child and i will probably use that for thier project. Thanks Meginski!

Are there significant motor skill issues with your crafters? Some beading projects I'm thinking of can be quite simple & nice, depending on physical abilities.

A couple ideas:

-Decorating sugar cookies. You could just make hearts and some simple icing glaze. It can be put on smooth, other colors drizzled, etc... If you want a recipe I've got a good one.

-Heart/flower bouquet. You can make "flowers" with construction paper hearts and doilies and such, then put them on pipecleaners and make a full bouquet. They could also decorate the container, which you can make out of the bottoms of big soda bottles or small coffee cans.

I'll let you know if I come up with more.

Make a woven paper heart basket and fill it with little goodies.
