Totally me. I can cook up a storm and obviously craft, but cleaning the tornado-struck mess that's left behind? Not so much.

What to craft?

-tees, totes, aprons, etc with phyllis diller or erma bombeck quotes
-tributes/shrines to famous bad housekeepers (Roseanne, Lucy, Mr. Mom - just a few people, I could come up with more if I didn't have the flu)
-kitschy '50s housewives gulping down martinis on postcards, retro definitions of a woman's household duties, heavy on the irony printed/painted/stenciled/needleworked onto just about anything imaginable
-crummy housewife kits with pajamas, bon-bons and tv schedules with the soaps highlighted
-the whole 'I'd rather be...' could be explored quite extensively here

I wish I could come up with more ideas at the moment - I'll post ideas as they come to me.  Anyone else have some?  And famous bad housekeepers?

Oh I'd love to do this swap! I'm a RUBBISH housewife and yet I have an obsession with 'Home Making' advice books (I particularly like the ones with pictures of modern 1950's women hammering nails while wearing a pencil skirt). It's nice to know I'm not the only person who doesn't get the importance of vacuuming hourly.

hahahaha! Brilliant swap idea. I'm one of the worst housewifes in the world, there are piles of laundry and washing up everywhere, I love to craft much too much.

Yep - my hard wood floors only get cleaned of the cat fur tumbleweeds lately because my toddler loves to push the Swiffer dry mop around anyway -- so I put the wipe on and let her go at it.  Smiley

LMAO Sometimes I wear sweats all day, or at least my pj bottoms and an accented ( by me) tshirt Cheesy hehhehehe I feel like one of the most awful housewives..... LMAO Cheesy But, it'll be alright! I would love to join this swap if it starts up in Feb. sometime or I'll catch round two. Cheesy But either way I would love love love this!

Perfect swap for me!! Maybe I could think of something to make with dust bunnies  Grin. This is perfect because housework will always be there, insperation is a moment, must craft before it's lost. Count me in.  8)d
