This is a dress I made for my step-daughter for Christmas. She's 7 years old, which is the perfect age for making pretty dresses Smiley She lives in another state though, so I can only make dresses once in a while. I used the pieces from a pattern to get the size right and just made them my own. I quilted the top of the dress and put rosettes where the lines crossed. It has a sash that ties around the waist and four layers for the bottom. I used a soft cotton for the first layer, then two of tulle and one of organza. Then for the bottom I stiched on some ribbon and then stiched on bows. I still might add a little somthing to it, we'll just see how I feel about it in the morning. I hope you like the dress and I hope everyone has a Merry Christmas. Smiley

Why is it that I can no longer buy anything that has a slight chance I could make it myself? Even if I don't know how to make it, or it's cheaper to buy...I can no longer buy it because "I could make that myself".

That is so pretty. I have a seven year old daughter, and I know she would love it, if it was in blue because in her opinion everything needs to blue.  Grin Have a great holiday.
