Five strands of various acrylic yarns, size 15 needles, a random dropping of the stitches and I came up with this!

It's incredibly wide and incredibly long. I think I like it though. I'm going to dump a bunch of fabric softener on it so it isn't so scratchy. But I got rid of a bunch of yarn and it's definitely an interesting accessory...

More stashbusting:
Yet another rapunzel scarf - super pastely girly colours which isn't really my style so if anyone wants to do a personal swap PM me.

And a hat from patons classic for my friend.

The first scarf is a GREAT idea! Using up loads of acylic yarn is a great idea. I've got a HUGE skein of white acrylic I could use up in a similar fashion.

Does fabric softener actually work on acrylic? I'm not so sure that would work.

Yea fabric softener works. I usually just throw it in the washing machine on  a regular cycle and dump detergent and a whole capful of fabric softener on the item... Don't use a downy ball or anything because that doesn't work.

Thanks for all the feedback! I think I'm going to do another one with shades of green - for some reason I have a whole lot of green acrylic...

These are some bags I did awhile ago in the same sort of style....

Multiple strands of pink acrylic. One was variegated with different shades of pink.

One strand of dark purple, one light purple. Both Red Heart of course!

5 random acrylic colours. Very springtimey.

Just some more acrylic stash busting ideas!
