This is the most hilarious thing I've ever done. They're a gift for my sister.

As I was making these, my boyfriend kept laughing at the pictures in the book and at me even making them...finally he suggested I get dog-toy squeakers and crochet them into the bottom so that they'll squeak when she walks. So of course I HAD to. I got the squeakers from Amazon, really cheap - I'm sure Petco or other pet stores have them too. I just crocheted two circles and sewed the edges to the bottom of the heels, but didn't sew around the whole circle; I left enough room so that she can take the squeakers out from underneath if they get too irritating. It's really hilarious when you walk in them because both squeaks are slightly different Cheesy it's just too freaking adorably funny.

Here's a little pic of the squeakers/pockets - hard to get a good picture of it  Undecided

But anyway, I used Caron Simply Soft & Jo-Ann Sensations "Beautiful" because I am cheap Smiley either way they are deliciously soft!

I love the squeaker idea!

I tried to make these slippers a couple times, but my yarn kept getting tangled, and when I\'d try to frog it the yarn would break.  Did you have this problem with yours?

Thanks! I didn't use the yarn the book said to use; I used one of the JoAnn Sensations fuzzy yarns - http://tinyurl.com/y2wybl, and Caron Simply Soft.  I'm cheap! particularly when I'm making things that are going to be walked in Wink

I didn't have any problems with it breaking, the fuzz got tangled a lot but the yarn under the fuzz was thick enough to resist a good tug.
