So my poor kitty broke his foot.  Now he looks like this:

Does anyone have any ideas for any kind of toys/comforting items I could make for him?  He is supposed to have limited activity for the next 4-6 weeks so I'm trying to come up with things to entertain him that don't require him to run around the house.  I don't want him to be bored out of his kitty mind while he's mending!

Maybe something like a baby mobile.. that he could just lay under and swat at with his good paw?  Or one of those igloo type kitty beds he could hide in..

Hope he mends quickly.  Sad

or a nice flat cat bed that you can put under the bed. He needs a soft sleeper. you could put your sheets down lower. when cats are hurt they like to hide

A mobile or string toy is an awesome idea.  I hadn't thought of that.

flying_babyb I was just thinking this might be the perfect time to knit him the snowball cat bed in the Stitch n Bitch book.

Thanks for the ideas!

Poor kitty.  I don't have any good ideas.

My boy cat had to have leg surgery when he was a kitten.  They shaved all the hair off one leg and then he had stitches on it too.  I called him "Frankenkitty"!  (I still don't think his hip is quite right, but he gets along pretty well.)
