i tried my best to explain how a few posts back... in case you didn't see it i posted it below...
good luck and i'd love to see your journal!!

  Smiley

Hi! I really like this...not sure I understood the directions....
Did you wrap the ribbon around the middle of the pages then out & around the spine?
I think thats what ya did...
I look real cute!

^^
with the ribbon... i tied it really really tight around the middle of the pages then onto the spine and made a bow. then used a little bit of hot glue on the spine so the ribbon and bow would stay it place and not shift... so it would like thisif it were lying open flat on a table:::
[back cover] |spine w/ ribbon & bow| [front cover]

i hope that helps you!!

Cheesy Thanks so much, I have many Dr. Seuss books from when I was little. I think I may make them as gifts for my friends. They would love them!

Stupid me, I went out and bought one. My journal looks just like Dr. Seuss's "Oh, the Places You'll Go!"

That's so cute.  I was inspired to make one too, but I made mine into an agenda/calendar.

I have a book (Design It Yourself) that goes into really great ways to make books and do book binding, so I've really wanted to reconstruct some old Readers Digest condensed books I've got lying around.

This is really cool. I cringe at the loss of a Dr. Suess, but love the reconstruction.
