Ok so i need some help please!! I work at a crafty store and we're doing secret santa, part of the rules is that we have to make the gift. I got this new lady who works there part-time, she also works at a high school as a home ec (sp?) teacher. Since she's new i dont really know her (i've worked with her once) so i dont know her likes and dislikes. And since she's a home ec teacher she knows how to make pretty much everything. I think she's probably in her 50's. I also think she's retiring from teaching after this school year

Here are my ideas, i was trying to think of something different that she hadn't seen made before. (well except #2)

Idea #1:
Gift basket with homemade hot cocoa mix (in a milk jug bottle) two coffee cups (clear glass with etchings on them) two coffee inspired fabric napkins and these melted star peppermint things i make.

Idea #2
Go totally generic and make her like a tote bag. I'm thinking denim fabric with red gingham lining with a red gingham flower appliqued on the outside.

Idea #3
A melted bead bowl and something to go with it i have no idea what though.

So do you guys think any of these are good ideas. And do you have any other ideas that wont take very long (1 hour max)?

Thanks for your help!!! Grin

I really like idea #1 - you can never go wrong with treats as gifts!*

Or, since she is a crafter too, how about finding out what types of crafting she is into? First, of course, recommend that she visit craftster  Wink, but also, if she's into beads, you could make her the bead bowl and give her some beads/wire to work with. You could make her a gift that goes with her crafty personality!

*unless the recipient is allergic Sad
