I've finished my second Calorimetry now.  It's for my sister's Christmas present but this is me modelling it (I had to check it fitted!).  I put baby cables into the ribbing, so maybe this variation should be called Cablorimetry?  The holes from the short rows were way more noticable this time, I think because I used unplyed wool last time and it had a bit of a fuzz round it that covered up the holes.

Is anyone else finding these things addicting? I knit one up at Disneyland yesterday (it was raining and I couldn't ride anything!)

very nifty with the cables!  good idea!

naw, I'm not addicted. I tried it, and am going back to Panta.

The cables are a nice touch!

I cast on with some alpaca last night. I'm just about finished, and while it does look pretty big with 120, I have a large noggin. I think it'll fit fine.

That's *so* disappointing. When I went for my birthday a couple of years ago, it had been pouring the day before and I was worried that it would be terrible, but it turned out sunny, and nobody was there because they thought it would rain (even though my birthday is the anniversary of Disneyland's opening).

Did you at least get a picture of Mickey? And do you know if they've opened the Nightmare Before Christmas shop back up?

I've been watching this thread for the past few days and after a few false starts, I finished mine just a short time ago *happy dance*

I'm fairly new to knitting (only been for about a month) so I'm always on the look-out for simple things for the moment, until I feel brave enough to manage more complicated projects. I have to say that, at first, this project intimidated me as I've never done short rows, used markers or anything like that. But, once I got the first row started, it went fast! I'm so impressed, I've already started on the next one (for my best g/f).

I'm DEFinitely hooked on making these  Grin

Mine's all knit up, with ends woven in, but I can't decide on the button.  Undecided
