My wed date is two yrs from now, I decided to do my save the date early since my wed is going to be internationally.

What do you think of this? I really need your opinion. I made this in a scarpbook software, its so easy just click, drag & drop.

It looks beautiful! I like the colors, and the graphics! But that's REALLY early to send out save-the-dates--what if something changes, like your location or your dates? I would think that a year to a year and a half should be plenty of time. Or maybe you're just way more organized than me, in which case I salute you.

I  would  think  this  would be too early to send  also.  I  know I personally woul forget  unless  reminders  were sent.      but  as  far as the  save teh  dates  itsself  it is  beautiful!  colors  imigaes  all.

Those are so cute! I especially love the "will you be our groomsman", that's a really sweet thing to do!

But, I agree with the others that it is to early to send out a save-the-date. The main purpose of STD's is to provide information to your guests that will allow them to make their travel plans early. So, you really shouldn't send them until you have somewhat detailed info to send out, like when you have rooms blocked out at a hotel - which most places don't let you do more than 9-12 months in advance. Plus the same goes for airlines, guests won't be able to book their flights more than a year in advance, so you are really running the risk of people forgetting about it!

I understand completely about the international factor, but you really ought to wait another year and send them out more like 8-12 months before the wedding. Or, if you reeeeeaaaaally want to send one out now, then send a second one later on when they can actually start planning their travel.

Thank you so much all!  Smiley
I'll take your advices to mail it 12 months in advance.
My fiance's family are all here in US but mines most are
in the Philippines. We both agreed to have it in the
Philippines since my family and most of relatives are
there. I was thinking to send this early so they can
plan ahead. But a year in advance do you think thats
enough or them to plan? This is going to be hard for
me cuz half of my attendants are here in the US.

Again, Thank you all

Oh yes, definately let your attendants, family, etc. in the US know about it now so that they can start saving money for it, and send out the "will you be my attendant" cards.. but yeah, wait a year before you send out the actual save the date so they don't lose it!

Congratulations and good luck! sounds like it will be a wonderful trip!

Casually talk with people but don't send stuff out too early.  You want to be sure you know the details of yoru event.  My FI and I are getting married in Florida (where we live) and have delayed our wedding for a year-plus so that people can save money and save up vacation days since our families don't live anywhere close to us.  We are sending our STDs out 12 months in advance, but people won't be able to book cottages at our desired location until 6 months beforehand.

Congratulations for getting so much done so early.

You could always do engagement announcements, with a little bit of basic information enclosed, and then put the save the dates in the mail at a later date?

It's late, and I've been wondering...  How I can stay awake so long and miss so much...
