i posted this in clothing: discuss future projects a couple of days ago, but i thought it would be appreciated here just as much, so here it is again! <3

hey everyone... i just wanted to post a link to the vintage pattern lending library for anyone who hasn't heard of/seen it before. basically, what it is is a vast collection of something like 3,000 vintage sewing/needlework patterns from the 1900's to 1950's... some of my favorite things are the hats and flapper dresses! anyway, the cool thing about it is that after buying a year membership ($20 is the cheapest) you can check out most patterns for $5 like you would a book at the library! there are also some patterns for sale... but i haven't looked into that out much. if you sew a lot and have a hard time finding fun exciting patterns at the usual sources (joann's, hancocks, blah blah) you should check it out!

some examples of what they have:

Jan who runs it is really cool too. They are in Oakland in a very swank art deco building. They have SO MUCH STUFF. I helped them move. It was nuts.
