I'm helping my brother Joe make a Christmas gift for my brother Dan, and what he wants me to do is decorate the cover of the book type thing he's got. It's a textured plastic report cover, kind of like this.

I was thinking of stencilling or stamping on it, but when we tested the stamp, most of the ink rubbed right off, and I'm afraid the same thing will happen with paint from a stencil.

I was wondering if there's some kind of fixative we could use to make it stay.

Sorry if this is in the wrong place.

What about spray paint?  Krylon makes a spray paint specificaly for plastic, called Fusion.  It comes in several different colors and is slightly more expensive than their regular paint.  Would that help?
